FLEA MARKET #1

September 23, 2022 -  Our class had the first “Flea Market Friday” in the classroom. The purpose is to use our hard-earned Class Money to buy and/or sell products and services. The Flea Market activity gave students the opportunity to create, advertise, sell, and buy fun things. As vendors, they wisely judge “market conditions” to set prices and make profits. As buyers, they have to work with a budget, bargain, and buy things they’d like to have. Students also have opportunities to practice math skills, solve problems, and learn simple financial literacy.
Our entrepreneurs had a lot of fun buying/selling and learning to run a business. We planned to have another Flea Market Friday in December.
