LUNAR NEW YEAR CELEBRATION
January 27, 2023 - Our class celebrated Lunar New Year with a brief history of the Lunar New Year and saw a video about how the New Year is celebrated in different Asian cultures. To begin our New Year celebration, Evaristo represented the class to wish Mr. Pham a "happy new year, good health, and lose some weight!!!" Then it's Mr. Pham's turn to wish us a happy new year with a lot of success. Afterwards, Mr. Pham handed out “Red Envelopes” that we made but with a special Year of the Rabbit lucky money to wish us good fortune through the New Year 2023.
After the ceremonies, we played Lunar New Year "games of chance" using class money and bought munchies from the "Bunny Bites" store. It was a lot of fun celebrating the Year of the Rabbit and playing games with friends.
