The struggles I'm facing, the chances I'm taking. Sometimes might knock me down, but no, I'm not breaking. I may not know it. But these are the moments, that I'm going to remember most. Just got to keep going, and I got to be strong. Just keep pushing on. There's always going to be another mountain... Always going to be an uphill battle... Isn't about how fast I get there... Isn't about what's waiting on the other side. It's the climb... ("It's the Climb" by Miley Cyrus)

Tolerance is the willingness to accept and respect different people, ideas, behavior and beliefs that are different from your own.
“Tolerance isn't about not having beliefs. It's about how your beliefs lead you to treat people who disagree with you.”
― Timothy Keller
I pledge allegiance to myself and who I want to be. 'Cause I can make my dreams come true if I believe in me.
I pledge to stay in school and learn the things I need to know.  To make the world a better place for kids like me to grow.
I pledge to keep my dreams alive and be all that I can be. I know I can, and that's because I pledge to stay Drug Free!

If you make an Effort to do something, you try very hard to do it again and again, and not giving up. Effort means giving your best, asking for help, and participating in class. Effort is to figure what you need to do, do it well, and be successful.

THE JOURNEY IS THE REWARD

If we are making progress towards our goals, chances are we are winning and achieving something every day. Memories we make together along the way are priceless. We may not reach all our goals, but everyday we have a chance to get better, to learn something new, and to solve problems in different ways. Living in and appreciating the present can sometimes be the greatest reward of all.

Q: Why was the classroom so crowded?
A: It was the class of 2018.

--------------------------
Q: How can you leave a classroom with two legs and come back with six?
A: Bring a chair back with you!

Leena: Avery, why did you have to stay in for recess today?
Avery: Mr. Pham asked me to write a paper on laziness and I turned in a blank piece of paper.
Leena: Brilliant!

Matter is anything that takes up space and composed of miniscule particles called atoms. Matter is all around us! Solid, liquid, and gas, everything you see, touch, and even breathe is made of matter. Matter is made of atoms, and the arrangement of the atoms determines whether the substance is solid, liquid, or gas

- Fairness does not mean everyone gets the same. Fairness means everyone gets what they need. ― Rick Riordan

- Live so that when others think of fairness, caring, and integrity, they think of you.
― H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
FAIRNESS

Play by the rules. Take turns and share. Be open-minded; listen to others.
Don’t take advantage of others.
Don’t blame others carelessly.
Treat all people fairly.
Kindness means being generous, helpful, and considerate toward others.  To be kind is to think of other people's feelings and support those who are in need.  Kindness is also caring for others, doing favors for others, and to perform good deeds.
You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.
- Abraham Lincoln
----------------------

You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of. - Jim Roh
