PAPER AIRPLANES

October 12 & 19, 2022 - Our class continues to experiment with the 4 forces of  flight: Thrust, Drag, Lift, and Gravity, that need to be balanced for a plane to fly efficiently. Each group built two planes to compete. One is for distance, the other is flight time. After 2 STEM periods and 32 rounds of launches, Group 2 won both the distance AND the flight time contests. Tony and Evaristo made  the Wall of Fame for building the planes.
With the experience and knowledge gathered, we will be building balsa wood gliders next!!!
