BRAIN TEASER 1 - 2pts.
Mr. Pham went camping in the summer. One morning, he started from his tent and hiked south for 2 miles. Then he turned east and hiked for 2 miles. He then turned north and hiked for another 2 miles, at which point, he was back at the campsite. He saw a bear inside his tent eating all his food!
What color was the bear? 😝
ANSWER: White *
* The only place you can hike 2 miles south, then east for 2 miles, then north for 2 miles and end up back at your starting point is the North Pole. There are only white polar bears in the north pole.

BRAIN TEASER 2 - 2pts.
Mr. Pham shows a picture of a person in his family. One student asks who it is. Mr. Pham replies, "I don't have any siblings. But that person's father is my father's son."
Who was in the picture?😎

ANSWER:
Mr. Pham's son

BRAIN TEASER 3 - 2 pts.

Our first STEM project this year was building a sundial... if you can remember.
A sundial has the fewest moving parts of any timepiece (just a gnomon-actually, the shadow of the gnomon).
Which timepiece has the most? 😁

ANSWER: Sand in an hourglass
WINNERS: Alex (2), Thomas (2)

1. There is no bear because Mr. Pham needs to turn west for 2 miles, so he never really ended up in his campsite.
2. Mr. Pham
3. Gnomon
