Given that first two tug-of-war contests shown below are ties, which group (frogs or turtles) will win the third contest, or will it also be a tie?
* HINT: The key is in the 1st contest!
(2 points for the correct answer, 3 points for an acceptable explanation on how you got your answer)

ANSWER:
1st contest
: If 2 snails = 3 frogs,
then
4 snails = 6 frogs.
2nd contest: If 3 turtles = 4 snails, and 4 snails = 6 frogs, then 3 turtles = 6 frogs. From this, we can conclude that 2 turtles = 4 frogs.
3rd contest: Since 2 turtles = 4 frogs, and there are 5 frogs against 2 turtles,
of course the FROGS would WIN by a ribbit!
WINNERS:
2 points: Zachary, Lucy, Yariana, Zoey, John, Marisol, William, Aliah
3 point bonus: Marisol

Turtles will win because they have very strong teeth to pull and pull without the rope falling out of their mouths.

frogs because turtles are slow and there are more frogs than turtles.

Turtles because turtles might have a chance to win and you don't know if turtles win.

turtles because the turltle is heaver and the frogs are lighter so the turtles pull back stronger

I think turtles are going to win because the frogs and snails tied and snails are not that strong.

frog would win because each frog are worth 1 each and each turtle is worth 2, so if turtle are worth two and there only 2 turtle and 5 frog, so frog would win.

The frogs will win. Turtles can withstand double the amount frogs can, but in number 3 there are more than twice as many frogs than turtles. 2 turtles would equal 4 frogs, but there are 5.

I think it the frog because 2 turtles=3 snail and and the frog will win

The frogs will win. But if the was one more turtle it would have been a tie . Because since the frogs tied 2 snails and 3 frogs and the turtles tied three turtles and four snails that means three frogs wouldnt be able to tie with four snails and the snails would win so that proves the turtles are stronger but since their is only two turtles against five frogs the are going to win because they would have needed 4 turtles to win but they only had two so the frogs outnumbered them
