Picture
1. Farmer Zack has seventeen turkeys. All but nine broke through a hole in the fence and wandered away. How many were left? (1 point)
2. What word is spelled wrong in every dictionary? (1 point)
3. Name ten parts of the body that spelled with three letters each. (1 point)
4. EJ just bought a live turkey from farmer Zack for Thanksgiving dinner. He brought the turkey to show-and-tell in class and asks: "What side of the turkey has more feathers?" Can you answer that question? (1 point)
5. How many times can you subtract 6 from 30? (1 point)
6. While wrestling for the same book from the classroom library, Kevin and Aidan accidentally ripped off pages 6, 7, 84, 111, 112. Can you tell how many sheets were torn from the book? (2 points)
7. Mr. Pham tells the class, “Last week, I was 50 years old but next year I will turn 53.” Can this be true? Can you explain when he said this and how is it possible? (3 points)

ANSWERS:
1. 9 turkeys left of course! “All but nine!”
2. The word “WRONG” is spelled the same in every dictionary.
3.  rib, jaw, gum, hip, arm, lip, leg, eye, ear, and toe.
4. What side of the chicken has more feathers? “The outside!”
5. Once. After that, 6 is subtracted from 24... (gotcha!)
6. 4 sheets. 111, 112 is only one sheet.
7. Mr. Pham’s birthday was December 25, 2022, and he was talking on January 1, 2022. He’s 51 now. Last week he was 50. This calendar year (December 25, 2022) he will be 52, and the next calendar year (2023) he will turn 53.

1.There were 17 turkeys and ALL BUT 9 escaped so that means all of the turkeys but 9 escaped, so there are 9 turkeys still there.

2.The word wrong is always spelt " W-R-O-N-G" in a dictionary

3. The 10 words are Gum, lip, rib, jaw, toe, ear, leg, arm, hip eye

4. The outside of a turkey has the most feathers

5. It is only once, because if you do it twice it will be 24-6 not 30-6

6. 3-4 pages, because there are two numbers on each page and the second number on the page is either both even or both odd

7. The answer is that Mr. Phams birthday is on December 30th, or any day within a week from December 30th, today is January 1st, so he is 51 now. He will turn 52 this year. And he will turn 53 next year.

1. There were 17 and it says that all BUT 9 escaped, so the answer is 9 turkeys.

2. The word wrong is always spelled " w-r-o-n-g' in a dictionary.

3. The words are gum, lip, rib, jaw, toe, ear, leg, arm, hip, eye.

4. The outside of the turkey has the most feathers

5. Only once, because after subtracting 30-6 it would be 24-6

6. 4 pages because there are 2 numbers on each page and the second side of the page has to either be always odd or both even numbers

7. One answer is that Mr. Pham' s birthday is on December 30th and today is January 6th so he will be 51 now. He will turn 52 this year, and turn 53 next year.

1. Nine were left.
2. Wrong.
3. Arm, hip, leg, eye, ear, toe, lip, gum, rib, and jaw.
4. Outside
5. Once, because when you subtract 6 from 30, you get 24 and its not 30 anymore.
6. 4 pages were torn off because 6 and 7 are connected while 84, 111 and 112 are alone, so that makes 4.
7. Mr. Pham said this on Jan 1st and his birthday is on Dec 31st.

First question: the question ends up with the equation 17 - 9 = 8. Second question : The word that is spelled wrong in every dictionary is the word wrong.Third question : the ten parts of the body that are spelled with three letters are eye, hip, arm, leg, ear, toe, jaw, rib, lip, and gum. Fourth question: The outside of the turkey has most feathers.Fifth question: you can subtract 6 from 30 once only.Sixth question: there were five pages torn from the book.Seventh question: It is not possible t turn 2 years older in a year this can not be true.I get that he is 51 now cause he said last week i "WAS " 50 years old but he cannot turn 53 in a year , he will be 52.
