SPIRIT GUIDE ANIMALS
November 28, 29 2022 - In Social Studies, our class had learned about American Indians in different regions of the United States. We also read about Totem Animals or Spirit Guide Animals in the Native American culture. A spirit animal is characterized as a teacher or messenger that comes in the form of an animal. Native American spirit animals hold a sacred place in tribal culture.
To celebrate Native Americans Heritage Month in November, we went on a quest to find our own guide animal and their characters. We drew and painted our chosen animal on wood slices and made necklaces with a twine string. It was a good learning experience.
